Recipe: Crisp Peanut Butter Cookies

CRISP PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
1 cup creamy or super chunk peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In small bowl combine first 4 ingredients; set aside.

In large bowl beat margarine and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in sugars until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Shape dough into 1-inch alls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with fork dipped in sugar, making crisscross pattern.

Bake 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove; cool on wire rack. Store in tightly covered container.

Makes 6 dozen cookies
