Recipe: Crock Pot Roasted Pork and Crock Pot Apple Glazed Pork Roast

4 to 5 lb loin end pork roast
Salt and pepper
1 clove garlic, slivered
2 med onions, sliced
2 bay leaves
1 whole clove
1/2 cup hot water
1 Tbsp soy sauce
Rub roask with salt and pepper. Make tine slits in meat and insert slivers of garlic. Place roast in broiler pan and broil for 15 - 20 minutes to remove excess fat.
Put 1 sliced onion in bottom of Crock-Pot. Add browned pork roast and remaining onion and other ingredients. Cover and cook on Low 10 hours (Hig: 5 to 6 hours).
To thicken gravy: Remove roast to serving platter. Blend 2 Tbsp cornstarch with 2 Tbsp cold water ti firn sniitg paste. Set on high and pour in paste. Stir well and let come to a boil--about 15 minutes--until thickened.

Crockpot Apple Glazed Pork Roast
3-4 lb. pork loin roast (well trimmed)
salt and pepper
4-6 apples, cored and quartered (peeled, optional)
1/4 cup apple juice
3 Tbls. brown sugar
1 tsp. ginger
Rub roast with salt and pepper. Brown under broiler to remove excess fat, drain well. Place apple quarters in bottom of crockpot. Place roast on top of apples. Combine rest of ingredients, spoon over roast. Cook on low for 10-12 hours.
