Recipe: Crockpot Scalloped Potatoes and Ham (no condensed soup)

CROCKPOT SCALLOPED POTATOES AND HAM

8 potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2-inch thick (or chopped, however you like them)
1 to 2 onions, chopped*
1 thick slice ham, cut up
1/2 pound Velveeta cheese, cut into chunks
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter or margarine, cut into pieces.

Layer all ingredients in crock pot.

Cover crock pot and cook on LOW for 8 hours.

*I sometimes add other vegetables also, like cauliflower, broccoli, carrots.
