Recipe(tried): Crockpot Turkey Breast

Main Dishes - Chicken, Poultry
CROCKPOT TURKEY BREAST
This is a recipe that I have fixed often and my family always loves it.

1 turkey breast, 6-7 lbs.
1 onion, chopped
3 or 4 ribs of celery, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 Tbsp. garlic, minced
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 cup white wine
1 apple, chopped
Seasoned salt and pepper to taste

Wash the turkey breast. In the crockpot, put a layer of onions, celery, and bell pepper. Stuff the turkey breast with some of the vegetables, the apple, and the garlic. Season the turkey breast with poultry seasoning, seasoned salt, and pepper. Pour the wine around the turkey breast. Cook on HIGH for 4-5 hours or on LOW for 7-8.

Remove the turkey breast from the crockpot when done. Let the turkey breast "rest" for 15 minutes before cutting.

After you have served everyone and you are putting the leftover turkey away, cut all of the usable meat from the bone. Place in a container and put in the refrigerator. In the crockpot, add water, chopped onions, chopped celery, chopped bell pepper, and minced garlic to the stock, wine, vegetable leftovers. Add 3-4 cups of water and cook on LOW for 5-7 hours. You will have delicious turkey stock.

Using the stock and the leftover turkey you will be able to make wonderful turkey noodle soup, turkey pot pie, or turkey quiche.
