Recipe(tried): Dates Wrapped in Bacon (for microwave), Obatzter (camembert cheese ball)

Dates Wrapped in Bacon (for microwave)

2 dates per person
2 almonds Peeled per person
1 slice breakfast bacon per person

Remove pit from dates and fill with one almond per date. Cut bacon in half and wrap half a slice of bacon around each date. Put on a plate over kitchen paper and cover with kitchen paper. Microwave on full for 4-5 minutes.

Obatzter (Obatzter is like a cheeseball)

2 ripe camemberts
2 ounces butter (soft)
1 small grated onion
2-4 tbls cream (or beer)
salt, pepper, grated lemon rind
1 tbls paprika
1 tbls ground caraway seeds
3 tbls chives or parsley (or a mix of both)

Mash camembert and mix everything together to make it spreadable. Serve with crackers, pretzels or dark brea (you might want to decorate it a bit).
