Recipe(tried): Different Corned Beef (repost)

Misc.

Feb...However for some reason if you do a search on my name..BB...I can never
get my old postings up,(Betsy if your reading maybe you can help?), anyways
that is why I am reposting it for you...Try it...you'll like it!! :-)

Just thought I would share a corn beef recipe that a friend of mine shared with
me...He is a great cook and this has such a terrific flavor..maybe next time
you can try it this way...
aprox. 4 lb Corned Beef
2 bottles "Guiness" Stout
1 large onion (cut in wedges)
3 Cloves garlic, minced
1 Bay leaf
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cabbage (cut in wedges)
1/2 of the pickling spices that are included with corned beef

Sear corn beef well on all sides over high heat in a Dutch Oven. Add all the
ingredients except for cabbage and put in 350 degrees oven for 2 hours. During
the last 1/2 hour add the cabbage, basting with the juices after 15 minutes.
Enjoy!!
