Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
EMPIRE BISCUITS (COOKIES)

12 oz. self-rising flour
8 oz. margarine
3 oz. sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Put all ingredients in a bowl and knead until pliable.

Roll out and cut into 2 inch rings, about 1/8-inch thick.

Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

When cool put 2 together with jam in the middle. Then frost with a smooth icing.

Hi Maureen,

These don't have the almond flavor that you mentioned but you could add a teaspoon or so of almond extract if you'd like.

Happy Holiday Baking!
