Recipe(tried): Favorite Birthday cake

This was my dad's favorite birthday cake. He died at the age of 89, and I believe he had this cake each year. The cake was a chocolate cake and the frosting was special. It was a 7 minute frosting with one cup of ground raisins folded in. Delicious!!! Has anyone heard of it?
