Recipe: Fiesta Cookies (using Fruit Loops cereal)

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
FIESTA COOKIES

2 cups Kellogg's Froot Loops cereal, crushed to crumbs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Place Froot Loops in shallow pan or dish. For variegated color, do not mix after crushing. Set aside.

In medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Measure margarine, sugar and vanilla into large mixing bowl; beat until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients; mix thoroughly.

Using level measuring-tablespoon, shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll carefully in cereal crumbs to coat; place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 14 minutes or until golden brown. Remove immediately from baking sheets; cool on wire racks.

Makes 27 cookies
