Recipe: Five Bean Casserole (using ground beef)

FIVE BEAN CASSEROLE

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. bacon, cut in pieces
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 (16 oz.) can Bush's baked beans
1 (16 oz.) can pork & beans
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1 (16 oz.) can butter beans, drained
1 (16 oz.) can lima beans, drained
1/2 cup ketchup
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Saute ground beef, bacon, onions, and celery; drain.

Add all ingredients together in casserole dish; blend together.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes with cover on dish. Remove cover and stir; bake for 15 minutes more.

Microwave Directions:
Place bacon in 2 1/2 to 3 quart glass casserole. Cover with paper towel and microwave on high for 6 to 8 minutes or until cooked, stirring every 2 minutes during cooking. Remove from dish. Place on paper towel to drain.

In same casserole, combine ground beef, onion, and celery. Microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes or until meat looses its pink color, stirring halfway through cooking. Drain.

Add bacon and remaining ingredients to ground beef mixture. Mix well and microwave on high for 10 to 13 minutes or until heated through, stirring 1 or 2 times during cooking.
