Heather, this must be a very common problem. It has come up several times on TRL. If you do a search for flat cookies, you will find several of the comments. Some of the tips include not greasing your baking sheets, trying different brands of margarine or butter (I can't make my favorite recipe with any brand but Land o' Lakes), adding a little extra flour to the batch, and chilling the dough before baking. Good luck finding the solutions that work for you!
