this is a bit long so bear with me!it is really quite quick and easy.
equipment:
2 freezer-proof glass china plastic bowls one of which
is twice the capacity of the other-sizes depending on
what you want it to hold
adhesive tape
edible flowers, petals, greenery, leaves etc
ice cubes or small stones
method:
half fill the larger bowl with cooled boiled water,
then lower in the smaller oneput icecubes or stones
into small bowl adding until the rims of both are level.
float the smaller bowl until it is centered and there is about 1 inch of water between their sides. tape into position. freeze 10-15 minutes.remove from freezer and using a skewer or small knife poke your petals and greenery
in between the bowls all the way around and freeze for 24 hours.
to use: remove the ice cubes or stones, fill small bowl with lukewarm water and gently twist it free.(this may take a few minutes. then dip the larger bowl into warm water
until it loosens and lifts out. pop back into freezer until ready to use.smaller bowls are lovely for serving cold soup
. if you are quick you can wipe these out and refreeze for a future use
