Misc.

from my vast collection of clipped recipes, however, I can't remember using it.

Pineapple Ice Cream Sauce

1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
2 tsps cornstarch
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice

Drain pineapple, reserving both fruit and syrup. Combine 2 Tablespoons of the pineapple syrup with cornstarch in a small saucepan; mix until smooth. Gradually stir in remaining syrup, lemon juice and pineapple juice.

Cook over very low heat stirring until thickened and clear. Remove from heat; stir in pineapple. Chill before serving.
