Recipe(tried): freezing corn and tomatoes

You will need to blanch the corn first. To blanch, bring a large pot of water to boil. Drop in ears of corn. Bring back to a boil and simmer for 7 minutes. Put ears of corn immediately into ice water for about the same length of time or until the corn feels cool. Cut from cob.
For the tomatoes, dip into boiling water just until you see the peels split, don't cook them. Remove from water. Dip into cool water. Cool enough to peel. Dice tomatoes. Then you can put both the corn and tomatoes into bags and freeze.
