Hi Niamh. You might consider making a lovely platter of fresh fruits that you serve with a collection of tasty fruit dips. I posted some recipes below.
You can put the bite-size fruit bits on kebobs (skewers) OR have decorator toothpicks available. If you use toothpicks, you might want to use a half orange (or other fruit) as a base and poke the toothpicks into the orange like a porcupine. Use this as part of your decorated platter.
You can place small containers of dip on your platter and arrange the fresh fruits in clusters surrounding the dips. It might be nice to include some fresh berries sparsley placed on the platter to give contrast and added color.
Toasted coconut or toasted nuts would make good-looking embelishments to the small bowls of fruit dip.
Fresh parsley clusters can also be used to dress up a fruit or vegetable platter.
Here are some fruit dip recipes. Serve with strawberries, grapes, pineapple or apple chunks, kiwi fruit, banana pieces, etc.
