Recipe: Fresh-Mint Chocolate Chip cookies

Here's a different chocolate chip cookie for all to try.
Fresh Mint-Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine,softened
1 TBSP. finely chopped mint leaves ( fresh)**
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 package ( 10 oz. ) mint-chocolate chips ( 1 1/2 cups)
Preheat oven to 350 F.Beat sugar,butter,mint leaves and egg in large bowl
with electric mixer on medium speed until combined.
Stir in the flour,baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded TBSP. about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 F. for 11-13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1-2 minutes ;
remove from cookie sheets to cool completely.

**you can use 1/4 tsp. mint extract if fresh mint is unavailable.
