1/2 cup sugar, divided use
1 tsp. salt
1 cup margarine, room temperature
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 cup warm water
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten, room temperature
1 cup milk, scalded and cooled to lukewarm
FOR THE FILLING:
butter, melted (as needed)
brown sugar (as needed)
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Mix flour, 1/4 cup sugar, and salt in large mixing bowl. Cut in margarine using pastry blender.
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add egg yolks, milk and yeast mixture to flour mixture. Beat thoroughly several minutes. Cover and chill several hours or overnight.
WHEN READY TO PREPARE ROLLS:

Roll up tightly from side to side (about 3 turns) sealing edge well, cut with string into 1/2 inch slices. Place in buttered muffin cups. Repeat with remaining half of dough.
Cover and let rise 1 hour.
Bake in preheated 375 degree F oven 20-25 minutes.
If desired, drizzle cooled rolls with glaze made by combining 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 tbsp. milk, and 1/2 tsp. vanilla.
