GLAZED FUDGE BROWNIE ALMOND PIE
1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1 (14-ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1/2 cup biscuit baking mix (like Bisquick)
2 eggs
1/3 to 1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup almonds, toasted and chopped
Chocolate Glaze (recipe follows)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Bake pastry shell 10 minutes; remove from oven. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F.
Melt chips with margarine. In large mixer bowl, beat chocolate mixture with sweetened condensed milk, biscuit mix, eggs and extract. Add almonds. Pour into pastry shell.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until center is set. Top with Chocolate Glaze. Cool. Garnish as desired.
CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
Melt 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1/2 cup heavy (whipping) cream, unwhipped and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Stir until smooth. Immediately spread over pie.
Makes one 9-inch pie
