Recipe: Good and Easy Stew (crock pot)

Good 'n Easy Stew
Serves 8

3 pounds lean stewing beef, cut in 1 1/2" chunks
1 (1.5 oz) envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup sauterne wine or beef broth
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup
1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)

Combine all ingredients in Crock-Pot. Cover and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours. If desired, thicken gravy.
