Recipe: Tempting Tunaburgers (Kraft Velveeta, 1979)
SandwichesTEMPTING TUNABURGERS

2 cans (6 1/2 oz. each) tuna, drained, flaked
1 cup dry bread crumbs, divided use
2/3 Kraft Thousand Island Dressing (plus additional for serving
1/2 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Velveeta Pasteurized Process Cheese Spread, sliced
8 hamburger buns, split, toasted
Lettuce
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can French fried onions
Combine tuna, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, 2/3 cup dressing, celery, parsley and seasonings; mix lightly. Shape into eight patties. Coat with remaining bread crumbs.
Broil 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until lightly browned. Top each patty with process cheese spread: broil until melted.
For each sandwich, spread bottom half of bun with additional dressing. Top with lettuce, patty, French fried onions and top half of bun.
Makes 8 sandwiches
