Recipe: Ham and Cheese Puff

Ham & Cheese Puff
Serves 8

2 c. ground cooked ham (about 3/4 lb.)
2 c. grated Swiss cheese
1 stalk celery, finely minced or ground
1/2-2/3 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. prepared mustard
12 slices white bread, toasted
6 eggs
2 1/4 c. milk
parsley

Combine ham,cheese & celery with mayonnaise & mustard to make a spread. Put on 6 of the toast slices. Put the other 6 slices together to make 6 whole sandwiches.

Cut each sandwich diagonally into quarters & stand crust edge down in a buttered 9 x 13 inch baking pan.

Beat the eggs & add the milk, then pour over the sandwiches. Chill in the refrigerator overnight.

Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes. Garnish with parsley. To serve,cut between sandwiches.
