Recipe(tried): Holiday Green Bean Casserole (using mushrooms, roasted pepper and cheese)

HOLIDAY GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE

Combine the following ingredients in a bowl:
2 (16 oz) cans (drained) french cut green beans
1 lb sliced mushrooms (fresh)
3/4 can Durkees french fried onion pieces
1 small jar (drained) roasted red pepper (may sub pimientos if you like)
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (can sub mozzarella)

Set this bowl aside while you prepare the wet ingredients.

Mix:
1 can condensed mushroom soup
1 tsp soy sauce
4 oz cream cheese that has been softened.

Combine wet ingredients with dry mixing well.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes.

Garnish the top of casserole with:
the remaining 1/4 can of the French-fried onions
1/4 cup shredded cheese

I have served this recipe twice at potlucks at work and have gotten rave reviews.
