Spencer: Here are three copycat Bisquick recipes...each a little different. Hopefully one will work and avoid your allergy.

I copied these from TKLs Copycat Recipe Central. There are a few more varieties there if one of these does not work.




Bis-Quick-As-A-Wink

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
8 Cups Flour
1 1/4 Cups Nonfat Dry Milk Powder
1/4 Cup Baking Powder
1 Tablespoon Salt
2 Cups Shortening

Combine flour, milk, baking powder, and salt in a very large bowl.
Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse cornmeal. Store in tightly
closed covered container in a cool place. Makes about 10 cups.

Title: Biscuit Mix

9 c Flour; sifted
-cake & pastry pref
1/3 c Baking powder
1 c Milk; powdered
2 tb Milk; powdered
4 ts Salt
1 3/4 c Shortening; vegetable

Sift all dry ingredients. Cut shortening into flour till mixture
ressembles coarse cornmeal. Store, well covered, in cool, dry place.
Makes: 13 cups

Use for pancakes, waffles, biscuits or anything that you would use
packaged biscuit mix.

Title: SUBSTITUTE BISQUICK #3

Yield: 6 servings

5 c Flour
2 1/2 tb Baking powder, double acting
2 tb Sugar
2 ts Salt
1 ts Cream of tartar
1 c Shortening

Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening with pastry blender
until it resembles crumbs. Store in airtight container up to six
weeks at room temperature, or freeze for up to six months.
