Recipe(tried): Hot and Sweet Freezer Pickles - ISO: Experienced canners, question about pickles

Preserving - Pickles, Relishes
I have a recipe for freezer pickles that I really like, but I would like to make them in jars without freezing. Is it possible to convert this recipe? Here is the recipe if that would help.

Hot and Sweet Freezer Pickles

3 1/2 cups thinly slices pickling cucumbers
1 medium onion, slices and separated into rings
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and sliced
3 large garlic cloves, pressed
1 tablespoon sale
1 cup sugar
1 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons water

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
Cook 1 cup sugar, 1 cup vinegar and 2 tablespoons water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour mixture of cucumber mixture. Cover and chill 48 hours.

Spoon evenly into 6 half pint jars or freezer bags, leaving 1/2 inch of room at the top. Thaw in fridge before serving. Use thawed pickles within 1 week.
