Recipe(tried): Ischler Toertchen

Misc.
Here you go:

200 grams flour, pinch of salt
200 grams butter or margarine
100 sugar
100 gram nuts (or almonds, I like almonds better) ground
peel of half lemon
1/2 tea spoon baking powder

any jam for filling
chocolate couverture for decorating or frosting

Cream butter and sugar in bowl, add other ingredients, cool dough for 30 min. (gets firm and is easier to roll then). Divide in portions and roll out quite thinly. Make ovale or round cookies, (you could also form stars or any kind of forms), put on rack lined with cookie sheet and bake at 175 degrees celcius for about 10 min. Let cool.
Put together 2 cookies ba filling them with fruit jam.
Decorate with melted chocolate frosting, or even coat the whole cookies with the chocolate frosting. Garnish while still wet with chopped pistaccos.
