Recipe: Italian Sandwich Appetizer

ITALIAN SANDWICH APPETIZER

3 pkgs. crescent rolls
4 oz. grated Parmesan cheese
1 large jar roasted peppers
6 to 7 eggs
1/2 lb. sliced provolone
1/2 lb. sliced salami
1/2 lb. boiled ham

Place 1 1/2 packages of rolls in bottom of 13"x9" greased pan to form crust; seal perforations (not on sides). Cover crust with 1/2 salami, follow with 1/2 provolone and 1/2 boiled ham and 1/2 pepper.

Beat 6 eggs with 4 ounces Parmesan cheese. Pour 1/2 egg mixture over layers. Repeat layers with remaining salami, cheese, ham and peppers. Add second half of egg and cheese mixture. Place remaining crescent rolls flat on top, sealing to edge of pan. Brush top with beaten egg, slit top crust.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, covered and 30 minutes, uncovered. Cool before cutting.

Serves 8.
