Recipe(tried): Kaese-spaetzle

Misc.
Hi Amy!
I live in Germany, and cheese spaetzle is one of my favorite meals! Yes, it is a meal by itself, and not a side. My husband uses a spatzle maker which he bought here. Anyway, after cooking the spaetzle, he layers it in a casserole dish with cheese. We normally use Emmentaler, but you can use other varieties as well. He tops the cheese spaetzle with fried onions, and we normally eat a salad with it. Hope this helps!
