Recipe: Lady Bird Johnson's Lace Cookies

Lady Bird Johnson's Lace Cookies

1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup coconut
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix flour with coconut. Combine syrup, sugar and margarine in saucepan. Cook over medium heat. Stir until well blended. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls 3-4-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325~ for 8 to 10 minutes.
