Marge: I had the same problem, I used Liquid Tide and Gain because I live on a lake where there is alot of dampness/mold. I finally ran everything through a wash of hot water and vinegar and after that, I now add just plain old fashioned Borax with my detergent. I use less detergent and save money using Borax. It's reasonably priced and gets rid of that musty smell. I also wiped down my drawers and linen closet with plain straight vinegar and let it air for a few hours. I don't have that problem anymore. I didn't notice it until I went to the city and my clothing smelled musty. Try that, I hope it works for you.
