Recipe(tried): Lime Jello with Cabbage

Lime Jello with Cabbage

My grandmother used to serve this every Christmas.

1 large (6 oz) pkg. lime Jello
2 c. hot water
1 c. cold water
Mix above ingredients. When not too hot set in refrige.
In the meantime, mix in a very large bowl or pan:
2 c. chopped cabbage
3 carrots, grated
2 Tbsp. sugar
1-3/4 Tbsp. vinegar
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
2/3 tsp. salt
1/2 celery, chopped
1/2 c. or more as desired stuffed olives (optional)

For a smaller amount, just use a small box of Jello and reduce ingredients by half.
