Recipe: Magic Chocolate Sauce (using sweetened condensed milk) (1974)

1 can Borden Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 squares (1-oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
1/2 to 3/4 cup hot water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
In top of double boiler over hot water, combine sweetened condensed milk and chocolate. Cook; stir frequently till thickened.
Remove from heat. Slowly stir in hot water tilt sauce is of desired consistency. Stir in vanilla extract.
Serve hot or chilled.
Makes about 2 cups
