CHERRY SAUCE
1 1/2 quarts canned dark sweet cherries, and liquid
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel
Mix 1/2 cup cherry liquid and cornstarch, add to remaining ingredients in saucepan. Bring mixture to boil; simmer until mixture thickens.
SPECIAL DESSERT SAUCE:
Add 1/2 to 1 cup brandy or liqueur to all-purpose sauce.
