Recipe(tried): Mashed Potatoes and Fried Chicken - Variations

Side Dishes - Potatoes
Hi Gang! That is the way I fix mashed potatoes all the time, except I add a little mayonnaise in addition to sour cream, I use 1/2 & 1/2 instead of heavy cream, lots of butter, white pepper, and Knorr Vegetable Seasoning. I use the ole' fashion potato masher by hand instead of electric mixer and my husband and children ask for these more than I care to make them.

And for fried chicken I always use buttermilk and do a "double dip". Buttermilk/beaten egg; flour, liquid again; then flour mixture. (In flour mixture: garlic powder, papprika, pepper, salt, poultry seasoning) Also can use beer with liquid part. This is also a hit here but we are southern to the bone so what can say. (very fattening)
