Recipe(tried): Meat tenderisers

Kerry, a really good and successful way to tenderise meat, prior to cooking, is
to smother it in peeled and mashed kiwi-fruit, or paw-paw.
Leave on for about 30 minutes, NO LONGER, then remove the fruit pulp and cook
in the way you want. We usually grill or dry fry.
There is something in these two fruits that help to break down the tough meat
fibres. We have used this method many times and it has always been a success.
It also inparts a slightly extra bit of flavour to the meat.
