Recipe: Milk Chocolate Walnut Bars

Hi Kim,

Milk Chocolate Walnut Bars
Source: Cookbook USA
Makes about 4 dozen bars

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine brown sugar, butter and egg.
Add flour, baking powder and vanilla.
Press dough into 9 x 13 inch pan.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Return to oven for 1 minute.
As soon as chips melt, spread evenly, then sprinkle nuts on top.
Cool and slice.
