Recipe(tried): MinceMeat

This is the recipe that I prefer,

MinceMeat

5c (2#) cooked beef
1 quart ground suet
3 qt. chopped apples (about 12)
1/3 c finely chopped orange peel
1 1/2 c orange lpulp (about 2 lg oranges)
1/4 c lemon juice
33 oz currents
3# seedless raisins
8 oz chopped citron
2# brown sugar (4 1/2 c.)
1T salt
1T cinnamon
1T allspice
2T nutmeg
1t cloves
1/4 t ginger
1 qt. sweet cider

Mix together, simmer 1 hr. Store in refrigerator or freeze. Makes 6 qts.
