MINI CHEDDAR MEAT LOAVES
1 egg
3/4 cup milk (or tomato sauce)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1 lb. ground beef
FOR THE TOPPING:
2/3 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, whisk egg and milk (or sauce). Stir in the cheese, oats, onion, salt and pepper. Crumble beef over mixture and mix everything together well.
Shape into eight loaves. Place loaves in a lightly greased 13x9-inch baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Spoon over loaves.
Bake, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes or until no pink remains (or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F).
