Recipe(tried): My experience using a bread machine at 5000 feet

Breads - Bread Machine
Hi! I am living in Loveland, which is not quite as high as you are. I don't have a recipe to share, but this is what I do:

I try to keep an eye on the bread dough and even open up the machine and poke the dough ball. When it feels too dry or firm, I add water by the tablespoon. The amount of water that I add will always vary with the temperature and humidity. Ahh, the joys of baking in Colorado!

In general, I have good luck making a 1 1/2 pound loaf in my 2 pound bread machine. I found that my loaves were rising right out of the pan and sometimes even pushing the lid up off the machine, and this doesn't happen when I bake a smaller loaf.

Good luck to you!
