NEIMAN-MARCUS COOKIES
Makes 112 cookies (recipe may be halved)
5 cups oats
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 pkg (12 oz each) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey Milk Chocolate Bar (grated)
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Measure oats and blend in a blender to a fine powder. In a large mixing bowl combine the oats with the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
Cream the butter and both sugars together. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Mix with with the dry ingredients.
Stir in chocolate chips, Hershey Bar, and nuts. Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
