Recipe(tried): News from New Chef Brig
Misc.Hello All,
I am so sorry that I didn't write back sooner. Turns out that Hotel gave me the run around something fierce. That place sounds like trouble so I am glad he lead me on a wild goose chase. I have since seen his ad up two more times. Sounds like a revolving door which I do not need.
A background check is being conducted on me which means that I pretty much have this other job. It is working in the restaurant for a major department store here in Canada. This will only be part-time.
I have another interview to go to Monday morning (Sept 28). Yikes, I think it might even be a step above from the 4 star restaurant I was at. GULP. Well, I told them that I hadn't worked for a restaurant before so I still required training. Their ad was for an apprentice. I don't qualify as an "actual apprentice" because I have graduated from College. This will be a short contract until the end of October and possibly extended into December. The pay for this job is the highest that I will have rec'd yet working in this field. (Which pays peanuts.) Hey, I'm thrilled to get the chance to work there. I hope to and want to learn a lot.
I'd better run for now.
Has Carolyn posted about her new business? I'm still interested in learning what she is doing.
Until next time.
