Recipe: No Crust Pizzas (using ground beef)

Pizza/Focaccia
NO CRUST PIZZAS

1 slightly beaten egg
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 (8 ounce) can pizza sauce (1 cup), divided use
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 medium clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Combine egg, crumbs, onion, 1/4 cup of the pizza sauce, the salt and garlic. Add meat and mix well. Divide in six portions.

On foil-lined shallow baking pan, shape each portion to 3 1/2-inch circle, building up a 3/4-inch rim. (Be sure rim is high enough to contain sauce.) Spoon remaining sauce into each pizza.

Bake in 450 degree F oven for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese; bake 5 minutes more.

Makes 6 servings
