Recipe: No Oil Teriyaki Chicken

NO OIL TERIYAKI CHICKEN

1 (3 pound) chicken, cut up and skin removed
2/3 cup soy low sodium "lite" soy sauce
1/4 cup white wine
2 tablespoons sugar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (or fresh ginger slices)

Wash chicken and pat dry. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Marinate 2 to 3 hours or overnight in refrigerator.

Remove chicken from marinade. Pour marinade into a saucepan and boil for a few minutes.

Place chicken on oiled preheated grill. Cook until tender, turning and basting frequently. Cooking time will take 45 to 60 minutes.

Makes 4 servings
