Recipe(tried): Oatmeal with Additions - yummy

Misc.
I love making oats the 'old-fashioned' way - and with different variations to suit the different likes and dislikes of my family

OATS FOR DAD

ROAST IN A FRYING PAN (WITHOUT ANY BUTTER):
1/2 cup oats*

ONCE THEY START TO BROWN AND SMELL FRAGRANT, ADD:
1 tbsp butter
Mix well and let roast a little more.

ADD:
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 cup milk
Mix well, and turn the heat on low.

MICROWAVE:
1 medium sized banana
for about 45 seconds until it is able to be mashed. Mash banana and stir into oats.

OPTIONAL:
add 1-2 tbsp of raisins/sultanas
add more milk to suit consistency
and remove from heat once it begins to bubble
