Recipe(tried): Mandarin Orange Dessert / Salad

MANDARIN ORANGE DESSERT / SALAD

1 (6 ounce) package orange Jell-O
1 (24 ounce) carton small curd cottage cheese
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained dry
1 or 2 (10-12 ounce) cans Mandarin orange segments, drained
1 (16 ounce) tub Cool Whip, thawed
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Sprinkle dry Jell-O over cottage cheese and stir until uniform in color.

Fold in drained pineapple, orange segments, Cool Whip, and pecans. Pour into appropriate sized serving container. Cover and refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.

Makes about 12 servings
