Recipe: Ole-Time Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches (using toasted pita breads)

OLE-TIME PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANA SANDWICHES

1/2 cup chunky or smooth old-fashioned peanut butter
3 Tbsp. honey
2 pita breads (pocket bread)
2 ripe bananas, peeled, sliced

In a small bowl combine peanut butter and honey; mix well.

Lightly toast pita breads; cut each in half crosswise.

Open pita pockets and spread about 2 tablespoons peanut butter and honey mixture on both sides of the inside of each pita pocket. Divide banana slices evenly among pita pockets; close sandwiches, pressing slightly to adhere.

Makes 4 servings
