Recipe(tried): Outstanding Manicotti (not cannelloni but easy and better)
Main Dishes - Pasta, SaucesOUTSTANDING MANICOTTI
I have made this for so many people and they beg for it at holidays or birthdays and parties. This is so awesome and so easy and you can adjust it or add meat if u like Promise you wont be disappointed.
I use lasagna noodles instead of manicotti it's way easier.
10 to 12 lasagna noodles (just in case one breaks)
extra virgin olive oil
4 cups mozzarella cheese, divided use
1 (16 oz) container skim milk ricotta cheese
2 tbsp. dried basil
1/2 tbsp. garlic salt
1 jar spaghetti sauce (brand of your choice)
1 jar Alfredo sauce (brand of your choice)
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
fresh parsley (for garnish)
Cook noodles as directed on package; drain. Drizzle with olive oil and lay out flats on cutting boards or whatever you desire.
Meanwhile, put 3 cups mozzarella and all of the ricotta into a mixing bowl; stir together. Add garlic salt and basil; mix well. Set aside.
In 9x13-inch casserole dish add 1/2 of spaghetti sauce and half of alfredo sauce. Set aside.
Take a spoon and dip out cheese mixture onto noodles on one end (try to divide evenly throughout all noodles). Pack the cheese mixture with your hands to make a mold form and then roll it up in the noodle. Place them in a single layer in the sauce in the baking dish. Add rest of sauces (you can drizzle and be decorative if you want). Then top with the rest of mozzarella cheese and all parmesan. Parsley for presentation.
Cover and bake in a 350 degree F oven for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
I hope you enjoy I haven't heard a single complaint just people begging me for the recipe. You won't be dissappointed.
