I have not tried this recipe myself, but it sounds about right. The only thing that seems off are the mushrooms. I believe the real stuff has shitake and button mushrooms
PASTA DA VINCI

Number of Servings: 2
penne pasta for 2 servings
1/4 red onion, chopped
1/2 cup button mushroom, cut in small pieces
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
small amount of butter (for frying)
1/2 pound chicken breast, cut in small pieces
2 tablespoons butter (for sauce)
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup madeira wine
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoons parsley
Cook penne pasta as directed on box; drain.
Saute onion, mushrooms, and garlic in a small amount of butter. Set aside in bowl when done.
Cut chicken breast into small pieces and saute as well when onion and mushrooms are done.
Make sauce by melting 2 tbsp butter and mixing with 2 tbsp flour. Add maderia wine and water; cook until thickened. Add parsley, let simmer for a few minutes.
Combine sauce, chicken, and mushroom mixture. Top the pasta with the sauce. Serve with parmesan.
