We set out to duplicate and we did it! This is exactly identical in taste. It still needs some minor tweaks to get the commercial type texture, but I think you will agree that it is just as good as the Original.
Please remember that the brands used are very important. We did not receive the same results with other brands.
PIZZA HUT CREAMY ITALIAN DRESSING
In food Processor combine:
1 cup Duke's brand mayonnaise
1 cup Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (buy the bottle)
1 packet Good Season's Zesty Italian (dry mix)
1 heaping tablespoon Miracle Whip
1 tablespoon fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 cup white vinegar
With machine running slowly add in in a steady stream to thicken slightly:
1/3 cup vegetable, canola or soybean oil
Enjoy!!
If anyone out there has any tips as to how to get it just a little thicker please post. The texture is 90% there with this recipe, but it not perfectly identical!!!!
