Recipe: Polish Gau Gee with Wasabi Ranch Sauce

Appetizers and Snacks
Polish Gau Gee with Wasabi Ranch Sauce

This is my attempt at inventing east-west cuisine. For those of you who do not know Gau Gee is, it's a Chinese finger food with ground pork in a wrapper that's deep fried. It's just like Won Tons but it's shape is rectangular rather than that elaborate folded shape.

Ungko Nay-Tin's Ono Kine Polish Gau Gee with Wasabi Ranch Sauce

Few links Polish sausage (If you like da kine podogee gau gee use that instead)
1/4 lb. ground beef
1 egg
sauerkraut
1 can water chestnuts
few green beans
1 carrot
won ton wrappers
tube of wasabi
ranch dressing

Remove sausage meat from sausage casing. Mix sausage meat with ground beef and egg.

Slice sauerkraut into thin strips and drain water.

Dice water chestnuts, green beans and carrots into 1/8-inch inch pieces. Mix diced veggies into meat mixture. Put spoonful of meat-veggie mixture in square won ton wrapper. Wet edges of won ton wrapper and fold over to make rectangular gau gee.

Deep fry gau gee for several minutes until golden brown.

For the sauce, mix wasabi with ranch dressing.

Hi Amy,

I think the easy sauce that goes along with this recipe will work for yours too.
