Recipe: Low Fat Brownies (using egg whites and applesauce)

LOW FAT BROWNIES

3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
dash salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs whites (or 1 whole egg)
1/2 cup applesauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an (8x8-inch) baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt together; set aside.

Cream sugar, margarine and vanilla together; add, egg whites (or egg). Add flour mixture and stir to combine. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake at 350 degrees F until pick comes out clean.
